I’m very excited to announce the launch of my
new cymbal company Crescent Cymbals. For
some time I have been a partner with Michael
Vosbein, Jeff Hamilton and Bill Norman in
a company called Cymbal Masters. For the
past 8 years we’ve been distributing and
marketing Bosphorus Cymbals. That relationship
has come to and end and we are starting our
own brand with Crescent Cymbals. The cymbals
are hand made in Istanbul, Turkey and are
as good or better than what we were offering
with Bosphorus. Crescent Cymbals will be
available at select dealers starting early

Most notably known for his guitar work in the New Orleans
Klezmer All-Stars, Jonathan Freilich has released his
first solo album! Enlisting the help of old Klezmer All-Stars
band-mate Stanton Moore, the record was
recorded and mixed by Mike Napolitano at Galactic studios
in November 2006. "This recording came about when my
old friend, Stanton Moore, suggested that I do a recording
of my compositions with him and some of the people that
he had formed associations with since our time playing
together in The New Orleans Klezmer All-Stars," says

GALACTIC: THE OTHER SIDE OF MIDNIGHT Live In New Orleans The album was recorded during an electrifying sold-out show at legendary New Orleans’ nightclub Tipitinas which has hosted countless luminaries such as the Neville Bros, the Meters, Dr. John and Professor Longhair. The venue has, of late, become something of a regular home court for GALACTIC, with the band playing multiple sold out shows at the historic club throughout the year. Like Ya-Ka-May, The Other Side of Midnight: Live in New Orleans features a host of guest appearances from the bawdy hip-shaking gender bending “bounce” star Big Freedia to local legends Cyril Neville and Trombone Shorty, the whole thing capturing GALACTIC’s deep musical relationship with their storied hometown.
